Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). INFO: Suki is a beautiful, active young girl who is equal parts fun, affectionate, and eager-to-learn. She may need a moment to warm up to new people, but once she does, youâre officially her new best friend. Suki forms deep bonds, loves her humans, and brings a whole lot of heart to the relationship. Sheâs done well with other medium and large breed dogs, and her dream home includes an active family with a friendly canine sidekick who can help show her the ropes, boost her confidence, and serve as her built-in bestie for playtime and adventures. Suki was selected for K9 Kismetâs DIESEL Project, a specialized training program created to give LBACS shelter dogs with tons of potential a well-deserved paw up. She spent four weeks working with a professional trainer, polishing her puppy manners and building the skills she needs to thrive in a home environment. To set her up for success, her future adopter will receive a complimentary training session with her instructor, helping ensure a smooth and happy transition into forever. Suki is ready to learn, love, and absolutely light up someoneâs life. Interested in meeting Suki or learning more? Apply today or email dieselprojectk9kismet

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
