A 4-legged person to show you the value of affection and devotion? Well, Zo is your man! He is currently being fostered at a training center , and he can’t wait to have his very own home. Zo likes a moment to consider new friends (as most Malinois do), but he will give you all the love and adoration once he’s decided you are an acceptable human. Zo was pulled from a Georgia shelter after being placed on the dreaded list, sick with a respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia. After making it out by the skin of his teeth, he was quickly on his way to becoming his best Malinois self with some ABMR TLC and some veterinary support. He is now a healthy, happy boy who loves playing with people and other dogs his size. While Zo enjoys his tug, he is not allowed to have stuffy toys unsupervised as he quickly makes them un-alive. The same is true for cardboard boxes, so you will want to hide the deliveries! He is both food and play motivated. He will do best with a person who has working breed experience. Zo has learned sit, place, down, drop, crate, no, free, good, climb, come, and leash manners. He is also muzzle trained. Due to Zo’s prey drive, he absolutely will not be placed with small children, small dogs, cats, chickens, or other prey sized critters. Reasonable transport can be arranged for the perfect forever. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
