Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). ADOPT ME $100 OF HIS FEE IS SPONSORED I cannot believe no one has scooped this sweet little guy up yet, isnt he just adorable?? Heres what we know about him: Breed: Possible Cur mix Age: Almost 7 Months Size: Estimated to be around Large full-grown. He is about 60lbs currently Temperament: Heres what his foster had to say: "Popeye has the bum leg that doesnt stop him. He hates flies and is the only one that really plays with Cali. They all go in the kennel well with a treat of course. They are kennel trained and 80% pad trained. I have 2 cats, if they run it's a game, other than that they dont care. They are too much in your face for my 2 dogs. But are good around them." About his leg: When he was a small puppy before he came into the rescue he suffered a broken leg, it was not able to heal properly, it will need amputated when he’s full grown but it will be covered by the rescue!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
