Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). SWEETEST DOG IN THE WORLD! GRACE - 9 years old, 55 pounds, house trained, kid & dog social, never been around cats 9-year-old Grace was surrendered with her pup, Wanda, due to housing issues and no fault of her own. We are told she is the sweetest dog in the world and believe it after hanging with her only for a few minutes! You can surely tell! She has brown and white fur, which we are also told doesn't shed a lot. She also has a half brown face and brown spot by her right eye. Super cute! She's good with kids and dogs but has never been around cats. Grace loves to cuddle and enjoys getting in bed with you or sitting on the sofa with you to snuggle. She is described as empathetic, calm, easy-going, and not messy haha. Like her pup, she is afraid of lawn mowers and weed whackers. TOO LOUD! haha Grace is in a back kennel, just ask to meet her!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
