Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Cheesy is a young Australian Shepherd x Pittie mix who is as smart as he is charming. He is an active, thoughtful dog who will do best with an experienced adopter ready to continue his training and help him keep building confidence. His early life was marked by significant neglect. He was originally found stray in April 2025 with a heavy chain on his neck and a thick wire wrapped around his muzzle, trauma that understandably left him cautious and unsure for a time. Since then, he has made tremendous progress and continues to show just how adaptable and resilient he is. He is fully potty trained, walks nicely at heel, and has great natural manners. He will often settle into a down position on his own while you are standing around chatting, and is very comfortable with his crate. Cheesy is highly trainable, loves to learn, and genuinely enjoys engaging with his people. He is affectionate, attentive, and eager to be part of a stable home where he can continue to thrive. He currently needs an adults-only home as the only pet. With the right match, Cheesy has everything it takes to be an incredibly loyal, fun, and rewarding companion.
