Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier. Adoption Fee: 500. Cloudy is a 3 year old, affectionate, fun‑loving girl with just the right mix of sweetness and spunk. She’s always ready to brighten your day with her upbeat personality and enthusiasm for life. Cloudy is a dream in the car, enjoys mealtime, and takes treats with impressive gentleness. Even better—she appears to be cat‑friendly and she is dog social! She’s fully crate‑trained and has excellent food manners, making her a wonderful house companion. She’d love a family that can offer structure, consistency, and daily exercise, and her playful energy makes her a great match for a home with kids. Cloudy is still polishing her leash skills (she’s enthusiastic and curious—everything is exciting!), but with patience and positive reinforcement, she’ll continue to improve. She’s also learning how to relax on her own and would thrive with enrichment like puzzle toys or frozen Kongs to keep her busy. Apply on our web site: 4theloveofdog/adopt.html

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
