Big Mac is a handsome and strong fella, estimated to be around two to three years old - so don't let that white muzzle fool ya! He has a loving heart to match his size. Believed to likely be a Lab blend, he was found as a stray near Lake Iowa and is now ready for his forever home! This energetic boy loves attention and is a big fan of outdoor activities, particularly going for walks and spending time in a secure, fenced yard. His enthusiasm can make him a bit of a handful when he gets excited due to his strength, size, and desire to jump up to greet everyone he meets, so he may not be a great fit dor a family with little kiddos to at could accidentally get knocked over. We are happy to say though - he is very treat motivated and loves to learn, so he's making progress with his manners and obedience training. Big Mac is looking for an active family that is comfortable with a large, powerful dog. The ideal home will be committed to continuing his training to help him blossom into the best companion he can be. With some guidance on his leash skills and general obedience, we know that Big Mac will be a loyal and loving addition to the right household. 3/5/2026 - exciting news! Big Mac recently won the hearts of a special group of kids at the Clear Creek Amana Middle School (grades 6th through 8th) and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County program. They decided to hold a bake sale and raise funds to cover Big Mac's adoption fee! So some lucky family will not only gain a new best friend in Big Max, but the $200 fee has already been paid - so they can spoil him with even more new toys and treats!
