Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $175.00. I am Calvin, Cal for short. I am a big goofy gentle giant of 6 years and 102 pounds, I came into Roses Rescue because my original family, although they loved me, couldn't care for me anymore. I am allergic to poultry and corn - they give me ear infections. So I have been put on a food where salmon is the main protein. It is delicious!!! I have been getting a squirt of salmon oil on my food, too, It is going to help my coat get soft and shiny.. My two favorite things in the world are being around people and playing fetch. I will bring my toy to you and drop it at your feet for you to throw again and again and again. I an not at all fond of cats, but I get along great with other dogs. Right now my best pal is a little Frenchie. We run around the back yard together. I love playing with kids, too, but, because of my size they need to be older kids. I don't want to accidentally knock anyone over. I need a fenced in yard because that is what I am used to. I do not have a lot of experience on a leash or getting in and out of a car. I am crate trained and potty trained. Do you have room in your heart and home for this big ol' lover boy? I have lots of room in my heart for YOU. I am truly a gentle giant. Lets meet!
