Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). HIS SMILE IS THE BEST! REMINGTON- 8 Years Old, Good with kids, Only pet, may have accidents in the home Remington was surrendered for not getting along with another dog inside of the home. He is very loving with people of all ages and friendly and playful with the kiddos. Remington is a playful dude who enjoys playing with balls, plush toys, and squeaker toys. He does have a prey drive towards small animals such as squirrels, birds, rabbits, and cats and he does not like other dogs. Remmington should be the only pet in a home. This silly boy loves hanging with his humans but watch out when cleaning bc he is afraid of vacuums. (Balloons, too. lol) Remington showed me his energetic side in the yard with running and running and running all over! He also had a very good SIT for treats! He will need daily exercise and playtime and how about throwing in some training to get his mind working as well! He's a smart boy so this should be fun! Remington is currently in a back kennel so come on in and just ask to meet this cutie!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
