Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Annie came to us as a stray alongside her friend Fran A050817 on 9/2/25, and sheâs been winning hearts ever since. This sweet girl is calm, gentle, and easy to love. Sheâs a breeze to handle on leash - no pulling, no fuss, just a nice, peaceful stroll by your side. In the play yard, Annie enjoys exploring at her own pace and is perfectly content entertaining herself. Sheâs not too into toys, but she is very into treats - especially when she can take them ever-so-gently from your hand! She seems to have had some practice sitting on command, though she likes to keep you guessing whether sheâll show it off each time. Annieâs lower energy level and mellow temperament make her a joy to be around. Sheâs friendly with people and enjoys gentle pets. If youâre looking for a quiet, loving companion to share your days with, Annie just might be the one for you.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
