PRIM NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Prim Best Guess for Breed: Terrier and lab mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of October 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 40 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Prim is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet mama did a great job of raising her baby Petey and he's ready for his own family. Now Prim is eager to get her own humans. She's a young girl and looking forward to sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her people can dream up. Making pup pals along the way would be great too! Most of all, though, she wants to be safe and loved, to know where she belongs. She has so much love and loyalty to offer in exchange. What do you say? Is she the one for your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me: Prim is such a lovely girl. She’s got a wonderfully busy little mind—always thinking, always curious—but she’s not in a hyper way. Prim is a total star on walks(which she loves!!) and while she can pull a bit when she gets excited, she’s super easy to correct. She’s very curious what the squirrels are up to (aren’t we all?) but she never lunged on leash—just did some very focused “squirrel math.” She warms up beautifully and quickly, and once she trusts you, you really see how trainable and intelligent she is. She still has a touch of puppy mouthiness but has been easy enough to redirect when you trade a toy. She tries so hard to figure out the rules—such a good girl. Whoever ends up with this girl is getting a smart, playful, affectionate pup with so much joy to offer. She’s truly special. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
