Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Border Collie / Mixed. Meet Charlie snack enthusiast, professional shadow, and full time smiler Charlie is a 7 year old, 58 lb Lab who is convinced she was put on this earth to follow humans around, supervise kitchens, and make everyone’s life better (mostly with snacks). She comes running when called, knows sit and stay, and is fully housebroken so she’s basically perfect, if we ignore her very strong opinions about personal space. Walks? Obsessed. Car rides? Obsessed. Chew toys? Obsessed. Humans? Completely obsessed. She has a minor separation anxiety problem, which we just call “passionate attachment,” and she’s not a fan of other animals or kids so she’s really hoping for a calm, adult only home where she can be the one and only superstar. A fenced yard is ideal, but if you live on acreage or can give her multiple walks a day, she’s flexible as long as she still gets all the love she deserves. She comes microchipped, spayed and up to date on vaccines! Adopt Charlie, and you’ll gain a loyal shadow, a personal chef in training, and someone who will happily take over your heart (and couch).

Breed overview
Overview:
The Borador, a delightful cross between the intelligent Border Collie and the friendly Labrador Retriever, is a relatively new designer breed gaining popularity. Originating from the desire to blend the best traits of both parents, Boradors typically inherit a medium build, often with the Labrador's strong frame and the Collie's agile grace. Their coat can vary widely in color and texture, from short and dense to medium-length and feathery, usually requiring moderate grooming. Temperamentally, they are known for being loyal, energetic, and highly trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive in environments where they receive plenty of physical and mental stimulation, making them less suitable for small apartment living unless daily exercise is guaranteed. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia or certain eye conditions, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding practices.
