Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). BLUE MAGENTA Just over 1 year old — and finally getting the life she always deserved. Just months ago, Blue Magenta was fighting to survive. Today? She’s thriving. Her once-patchy coat is growing in soft and velvety, her eyes are bright with curiosity, and her personality is pure joy. Blue Magenta is the kind of dog who loves everyone. ✔️ Great with dogs ✔️ Gentle with cats ✔️ Wonderful with kids 7+ ✔️ Instant best friends with new humans She’s playful, silly, and full of zoomies — but when the day winds down, she wants nothing more than to curl up beside you and soak in every ounce of love. Blue Magenta is ready for her next chapter — one filled with stability, comfort, and a family who sees her for the incredible dog she is. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
