Born in rescue on 10/19, this femaleCoonhound mix is a playful, smart, and affectionate puppy who’s ready to find a forever family. With a curious mind and a quick-learning personality, Grace loves exploring, playing, and soaking up new experiences. She weighs around 10 lbs now and will likely be 45+ lbs full grown Grace does wonderfully with kids and has a friendly nature that makes her a great family companion. Being highly intelligent and eager to learn, Grace is already showing great potential with training and will thrive with positive reinforcement and consistency. If you’re looking for a fun-loving puppy with brains, heart, and lots of tail wags, Grace might be the perfect match for you! The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
