Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Meet Lady, a loving and energetic Pitbull/Labrador mix looking for her forever home! She's curious, playful, and incredibly smart. Though a bit shy at first, once she feels comfortable, she becomes affectionate, loyal, and eager to please. In just a few weeks of fostering, she's already learned how to sit and listen perfectlyproof of how quick she is to learn and how much she wants to connect with people. She loves playing tag (she's always it!), hide-and-seek, belly rubs, and any kind of attention. Lapdog is gentle, quiet, and gets along well with other pets, making her an easy and fun companion to have around. As her foster parent, I can honestly say she's brought so much joy into my home. Even with my busy schedule as a full-time student-athlete, she's been amazing to care forsweet, easygoing, and full of personality. I'd be happy to keep fostering her, but I know she deserves a loving forever home where she can keep learning, playing, and being loved every day. If you're looking for a smart, loyal, and playful dog to add to your family, Lady is the one. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
