Meet Gomez Adams! Gomez is super playful; he absolutely loves playgroup and chew toys. He would love another small canine companion, but could also do well as an only. He could benefit from living with another confident dog to help with his confidence. Gomez is nervous meeting new people, especially men. He is looking for a calm, quiet environment to settle into. He gets a little nervous riding in the car and his foster mom is working with him on short rides. He is almost house trained and has been left alone crated for short periods of time. Gomez is looking for a relaxed family life. He would thrive in a loving home with plenty of fetch, walks and cuddles on the couch. In return, he will give you all his love and infinite puppy kisses! It’s absolutely scary how cute Gomez Adams is! Will you give him the loving home he deserves? Let him know you’re interested in meeting by filling out an application today! Backstory: He is the proud father of Pugsley Adams, who you can learn more about here. The Adams boys were surrendered to a shelter when Pugsley’s mom gave birth to him and his littermates this past winter. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. Breed overview
Overview:
The Rat-Cha, a charming crossbreed between the Chihuahua and Rat Terrier, offers a spirited companion with a unique blend of its parent breeds' best traits. Originating from the desire to combine the Chihuahua's affectionate nature with the Rat Terrier's intelligence and robustness, this hybrid is gaining popularity. Physically, Rat-Chas are typically small to medium-sized, weighing between 6 and 15 pounds, with a short, easy-to-care-for coat that can vary widely in color. They often possess expressive eyes and a sturdy build, reflecting their terrier lineage. Temperamentally, they are known for being alert, playful, and loyal, often forming strong bonds with their families. While they can be vocal, early socialization and training can mitigate this. Their adaptable size makes them well-suited for both apartment living and homes with yards, and they can be wonderful additions to active families, though supervision is wise with very young children due to their smaller stature. Health-wise, like many small breeds, they can be prone to dental issues and patellar luxation, so regular vet check-ups are important.
