Dog Breed: Chinese Shar-Pei / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Simba !! â a 12-year-young heartthrob who never got the memo to slow down. This affectionate, charming guy is a favorite of staff, volunteers, and foster families, and itâs easy to see why. Simba loves car rides, leisurely walks, and snuggling up close (heâs fully convinced heâs a lap dog). Heâs housebroken, uses a doggy door, takes treats gently, and walks beautifully on leash. Calm, low-key, and friendly with kids and new people, Simba has even handled busy public events with horses, music, and crowds like a pro. Simba gets along well with other dogs and made friends quickly in foster, though he can be a bit enthusiastic around foodâeasily managed with structure and separate feeding. He settles in the crate once comfortable and would do best in a cat-free home with no small critters. Simba is full of personality, love, and life, and heâs ready to be someoneâs loyal golden-years sidekick. ????
