Description
Dog Breed: Bichon Frise / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Omega is deaf. He's a very smart boy and eager to learn. He has learned a few hand signals. He would love an owner that is willing to work with him to learn more hand signals and help him grow. Omega does have a DNA test and it came back that he is mostly Bichon with a mix of Chihuahua. He definitely has the Bichon personality. He definitely would do better with another doggy friend to help him. He is a companion dog and would love to find his forever loving home. Breed overview
Overview:
The Chi-Chon, a charming hybrid, results from crossing the playful Bichon Frise with the spirited Chihuahua. Originating from designer breed initiatives, these delightful companions are known for their small stature and affectionate nature. Physically, Chi-Chons typically possess a soft, often wavy or curly coat, which can range in color and may inherit the Bichon's low-shedding qualities, making them potentially suitable for allergy sufferers. Their size usually falls between 5-12 pounds, making them ideal for apartment living. Temperamentally, they are generally intelligent, loyal, and possess a lively yet gentle disposition, often bonding strongly with their families. They can be good with children and other pets with proper socialization. While generally robust, potential health considerations include patellar luxation, dental issues, and heart conditions, inherited from their parent breeds. Regular veterinary check-ups and a balanced diet are crucial for their well-being.
