Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. At 22 weeks old, Wally is already the kind of puppy who makes you fall in love without even trying. He’s been with us for 80 days, and in that time he’s shown us just how special he is, super sweet, incredibly smart, and full of that gentle goodness that’s impossible to forget. We may not know exactly who his parents are, but they clearly passed down a whole lot of love. Wally is still learning about the world, and he’s doing it with the perfect mix of calm curiosity and playful puppy joy. He loves his toys, enjoys a good nap, and has a way of looking up at you like you’ve been his best friend forever. He’s the kind of pup who feels like comfort, like home, like the reminder that life is simply better with a dog by your side. Because he’s still young, Wally will need a family who’s ready to help him grow with patience, consistency, and lots of love. But with the heart he has, there’s no doubt he’s going to turn into an incredible companion. Whoever adopts Wally won’t just be giving him a home, they’ll be gaining a best friend for life. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
