ROSEMARIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Rosemarie Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of November 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 57 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Rosemarie is Looking For: Her forever home! Rosemarie did an amazing job of raising her babies Ricardo, Rebecca, Rochelle, Ryan, and Rhonda to be great family pets and they all went off to find their own forever home. Now Rosemarie is ready to lavish all that love and affection upon her own humans. She's still a young girl and is eager for long sniffy walks, romps, and all the adventures her new family can dream up. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. What do you say? Is that with you? What My Foster Says About Me: She is as sweet as her name! When I picked her up, she settled right into the backseat and was snoring by the time we got home. She loves walking, playing with stuffies, treats, and snuggling. She is a perfect family dog! A great size, well behaved, and easy going. She gets along well with my dog, is friendly with the neighborhood dogs and people. Heartworm information: Rosemarie is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Rosemarie has completed this activity restriction period. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.
