Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Sinbad - an adventure-loving, toy chasing goofball! Sinbad somehow balances being easygoing with also being always ready to play. He LOVES toys! Toss one and he'll happily chase after it, then zoom around entertaining himself with it for a bit. He's got a medium energy vibe that can quickly turn up when there are toys or other dogs involved. He's done well around other dogs in shelter playgroups, and has also enjoyed splashing around and hanging out in a doggy pool! He's not all goofy though - Sinbad is smart too! He already knows how to sit and lay on command, and he's always eager to show off his skills for a treat. Treats and toys always get his attention. Sinbad is full of personality, enthusiasm, and fun. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
