Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200. Meet Lucky Clover! This adorable 2 year old thrives in her lively home, where she happily plays with her furry companions. Despite her playful nature, Lucky Clover has a soft spot for her grumpy feline housemates, sometimes attempting to engage them in her playful antics. However, she’s respectful and knows to leave the cats alone when told to. Lucky Clover is crate trained and house trained, making her a perfect addition to any family. She knows commands like “sit,” “paw,” and “go sit” (place), showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to learn. Whether she’s romping around with her dog friends or trying to win over the cats, Lucky Clover brings a delightful energy to her foster home. With her playful spirit and loving personality, she’s ready to find her forever family! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
