Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 12/23/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Elvis is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Elvis is a goldendoodle. He sheds a lot. Weight: 58 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? No - but he would love one. What kind of home would be best for me? Elvis enjoys playing with other dogs and does well around them, but if given the choice, he would happily spend his entire day right by your side. He is very people-centered and would be perfectly content as an only dog, soaking up all the love and connection his person has to offer. We think Elvis would do well in a home with older children or teens who can respect his gentle nature, but he would be just as happy in a quieter home with a single person or couple. What matters most to Elvis is being included—he wants to go wherever you go and be part of your everyday life. What is my personality like? Elvis is a 3-year-old Goldendoodle with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He came to us from a kind gentleman who adored him but was struggling to find housing where Elvis could stay with him. It’s clear how deeply Elvis was loved, and that love shines through in his affectionate, trusting nature. Elvis is a sweet, kind boy who thrives on attention and companionship. One of Elvis’s favorite things is car rides. He absolutely loves the car and is always ready to hop in and head off on the next adventure, no matter the destination. Having lived in a home before, Elvis is familiar with the rhythms of household life and transitions easily into a home environment. He is crate trained and goes into his crate willingly, making him an easy and adaptable companion. While he walks fairly well on leash, he would benefit from a refresher to help polish those skills. How do I act when I first meet new people? If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be your shadow and your travel buddy, Elvis may be the perfect match. Other tips and tidbits: Elvis's birthday is 08/17/2022 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Goldendoodle is a popular designer breed, originating in the late 1990s from a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Standard Poodle. These delightful dogs inherit the best traits from both parents, often displaying the Golden Retriever's friendly demeanor and the Poodle's intelligence and low-shedding coat. Physically, Goldendoodles vary, but typically have medium-length, wavy to curly coats in shades of cream, gold, red, or black. Their temperament is generally described as affectionate, intelligent, and playful, making them excellent companions. They thrive in active families and, while adaptable, their size and energy levels suggest a preference for homes with yards over small apartments, though daily exercise can make apartment living feasible. Common health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, certain eye conditions, and heart disease, typical of their parent breeds. Their friendly nature and hypoallergenic potential (though not guaranteed) contribute to their widespread appeal.
