Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Bullet is with our rescue partner in Louisiana is available to come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. Bullet is a timid sweetheart who blossoms slowly but he is worth the wait. This mellow boy is the definition of chill; happiest when lounging in a sunny spot watching the trees and birds. He's house trained, gets around wonderfully with other dogs and would love to have a canine buddy to help him settle into his new home. While he needs a little coaxing into his kennel, he's otherwise easygoing and endearing. If you're looking for an adorable, gentle companion who brings peaceful energy wherever he goes, Bullet can't wait to meet you. Bullet is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
