Iman wants the spotlight- and some belly rubs! Foster Home Feedback 12/19/25 Foster Feedback:. Iman is a beautiful puppy who’s come a long way in the past 4 weeks. She and her littermates, had a rough start but she’s not going to let that stop her from having a great life. She loves to play with her sister, Winnie, who I am also fostering. The girls spend the day in what I call the “puppy corral” when I am at work. I come home for lunch so they get a chance to run a bit and, of course, have lunch. I don’t think they yet realize that food is going to continue to be available because they dive into their bowls when I put them down and inhale their meals. They haven’t yet forgotten about living outside scrounging for food but they will. The perfect home for Iman will have the time and energy to keep up with a puppy. I think she will probably be medium size when fully grown. She loves my dogs even if they are too big and play too rough for the puppies right now. I think she would do well with another dog in the home as long as it wants to be her playmate. Iman is ready to find a home of her own and start her new life in the new year. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
