Dog Breed: Pointer / Mixed. Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location Meet Bernie! Bernie is currently in a foster home and doing great! A meet and greet will be required for any potential adopters. Here’s what his foster family has to say: Dog & Cat Friendly • Good with cats and mostly ignores them • Plays very well with the foster’s corgi, Knight • Loves wrestling, chasing, and playing ball together • Not yet tested with larger dogs Kids • Has not been around small children • Very sweet demeanor, but can be a bit rough with his paws and may accidentally knock little ones over Home Life & Training • House trained (with a few accidents) • Sometimes thinks the litter box area is for him too — foster is working on better potty signals • Crate trained • Does well on car rides • Eats very fast and uses a slow feeder • Drinks a lot of water and may need frequent potty breaks (sometimes within 30 minutes) Smart & Food Motivated • Knows sit and shake • Almost has lay down mastered • Working on wait/stay • Very food motivated — peanut butter is his favorite Personality • Loves fetch and tug • Big fan of cuddling on the couch • Loves pup cups • Overall, Bernie is a big sweetheart with a cuddly, loving personality If you’re interested in Bernie and would like to set up a meet and greet, please reach out to the rescue.
