Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Lalala! Lalala is a charming 3-year-old pup whoâs as sweet as can be. She absolutely loves meeting new people and is always eager to share her affection. Lalala has done wonderfully with her foster familyâs resident dachshund, though sheâs still learning about sharing toys and food. Lalala is an adventurous spirit who loves the outdoors, enjoys long walks, and delights in exploring new places. She also adores basking in the sun and would thrive in an active home where she can play and explore to her heartâs content. If youâre looking for a loving, playful companion whoâs eager to learn and share joy, Lalala might just be the perfect match! Dogs over 40 pounds are always FREE. Adoptions include spay/neuter, up-to-date shots, one free training session with Micky's House, one year free membership PG&Js dog park, and more! Champion dogs come with extra perks! Core vaccines for 3 years, three-year Jefferson County pet license, freedom harness with leash, bag of starter food, six months of heartworm preventative, and crate upon request! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
