Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Iâm Mocha, an older girl with a gentle heart and an easygoing soul. I donât feel the need to hurry anymore. Iâve learned that the best moments are the quiet ones. I move at my own pace, calm and relaxed, taking in the world with soft eyes and a wag that means Iâm content just being here.I still know my manners, though. Ask me to sit, shake, or lie down, and Iâll happily show you what I know; especially if thereâs a treat involved. Iâm always willing to work for snacks; it keeps my mind busy and my tail wagging. What I love most is quality time with my humans. Sitting close, resting my head on a knee, or simply sharing the same space means everything to me. I donât ask for much... just kindness, patience, and a little togetherness. With that, Iâm perfectly happy being Mocha: sweet, steady, and full of love.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
