Description
Dog Breed: Fox Terrier (short coat). Jinglebells is a neutered male Smooth Fox Terrier mix, born about May, 2024. Fox Terriers are smart and trainable and require some daily exercise to live their best lives. Jinglebells is neutered, healthy, and is a bit shy. He’s from a former Fox Terrier breeder who passed away, but while they look like purebred Smooth Fox Terriers, we don’t have any paperwork and so they could be a mixed breed. Aside from the adorable ears, Jinglebells has a “sleeve” and pink nose rings. He’ll just need someone to give him a bit of time to warm up and feel comfortable in his new digs. $75. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
