Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). ***Zavier is with a loving foster family near Ringoes, NJ. Questions about Zavier and/or our adoption process should be sent to socorescue8gmail; please do not call the Rescue's number.*** Zavier’s foster mom writes that he is super fun & is the perfect family dog. He loves the kids, loves to snuggle & play with foster dog. Doing great with house & crate training. He would make the perfect addition to any home. He’s a true love!! His rescue story…Zavier's mom, who someone claims to own, is permitted to roam freely through the subdivision she lives in and has become pregnant a number of times due to this. While we've offered free spaying and vet care, the owner has chosen rather just to let female dog continue to produce litter after litter. Most of the puppies usually meet an early demise due to a number of easily preventable reasons, including by the hands of young children who were allowed to carry newly born pups around as if they were dolls. It's alleged that the owner has also sold or traded some of the pups to support their drug habit. Zavier and five of his siblings are among the few lucky ones that have survived the irresponsibility of this owner. Despite their rough start to life, Zavier and his siblings seem to have a natural-born love of people. He's always happy, ready to play and loves to give kisses. No doubt, with continued love being given to him, Zavier will grow into being a great family addition. Prior to transport, we had his eye checked by our vet, it was confirmed be a birth defect. Our vet called it “dead”eye, it doesn’t seem to bother him and sees no reason to remove it. Zavier will have received all three of his first year "puppy" vaccines, rabies as well as his scheduled de-wormings and other such vet care. He'll need to receive his rabies vaccination after 12 weeks of age. Zavier's adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. And, of course, Zavier will require all of his basic training.
