Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Haha is a bright and lovable 6-year-old Husky with a heart as big as his playful spirit. He was sadly surrendered by his original family due to allergies in the home, but heâs ready to start his next chapter with someone who will appreciate his charm and intelligence. Haha is curious, well-behaved, and incredibly smart. He even communicates his needs â heâll give a polite bark to let you know when itâs time for a potty break. With his friendly personality and happy energy, heâs quick to make friends and always ready for fun. If you are interested in meeting Haha, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12:30p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12:30p & 2p-6:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application can be filled out and approved during your meet-and-greet. If you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption!

The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy.
