Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Iâm Rowan, a younger pitbull with a curious nose and a lot of growing still to do. I love exploring. Every walk feels like an adventure, and I take my time sniffing everything I can. Thereâs so much to learn out there, and I want to experience all of it one scent at a time.I really enjoy being around my people. Just knowing youâre nearby gives me confidence, even when Iâm still figuring things out. I might seem a little reserved at first, but thatâs only because Iâm waiting to feel safe and settled. Once Iâm adopted and I know I belong, thatâs when my true personality will shine. Iâll open up, get sillier, braver, and more affectionate as the days go by. All I need is patience, love, and a place to call home and I promise Iâll show you just how special I can be.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
