She would do best with a tolerant dog that can keep up with her high energy antics and rough & rowdy playstyle. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Sugar will thrive with an experienced dog owner who understands positive reinforcement, canine body language and signals. She needs someone who can recognize signs of stress or discomfort and work with her using patience and positive reinforcement and help build her confidence. [Some Experience] KIDS: Because Sugar can be nervous around new people and is sensitive to being handled, she would do best in a relaxed, predictable environment. She is not suited for homes with young children but may do well with respectful teenagers (12+) who can understand and respect her boundaries and preferences. A meet-and-greet is required to ensure a good fit. [12+ (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Sugar enjoys daily walks and LOVES to play! She can be very jumpy when she and could make a great hiking companion given time and positive reinforcement training. She has a high energy level and would benefit from regular exercise to keep her happy and healthy, as well as plenty of mental enrichment such as puzzles and games. She would likely benefit from another canine companion as well.
