Tyson is a 6-year-old mixed breed who specializes in one thing: devotion. Tyson is what some may call a "Velcro dog," but he prefers to say he never wants you to feel alone ever again. Tyson bonds incredibly quickly and has a way of making you feel like the most important person in the world. Tyson is impossible to resist with his signature floppy ear and a wide, generous smile that lights up his whole face. Tyson is a gentleman when it comes to house rules. While he isn't a fan of the crate (he'd much rather be where the action is!), he is trustworthy when left alone in the house. You won't have to worry about your shoes or furniture, Tyson prefers to spend his solo time napping and waiting for your return. Tyson gets along well with other dogs and would be happy in a home with other mellow pups, but would be equally happy being the only recipient of your affection. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
