Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Hi I’m Elfey, I’m just a little guy with a whole lot of love to give. I came smaller than my siblings but that doesn’t stop me from all the adventures I’m ready to take! I am a little bit of a shy boy but once I get to know you, you will fall in love with my silly personality and my big heart. I am doing very well with crate and potty training, my foster mom thinks I’ll be an easy puppy to train. I love hopping around in the snow for potty breaks with my sister and the yummy treats I get when I’m rocking the training. I love the foster kids in my home, they carry me around and it makes me feel safe and loved. I’m so ready to dive into my next chapter of life finding the perfect home to calm my own. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd with the Labrador's friendly disposition, these dogs typically boast a medium to large build with a dense, weather-resistant coat that can range in color. Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
