Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). If youâre looking for a world-class snuggler, Boo is your guy! This sweet boyâs absolute favorite activity is curling up with his favorite human for a long afternoon nap. While heâs a low-energy companion who prefers a tough chew toy and game of fetch over a long hike, he does have a hilarious side so expect the occasional `living room zoomies` where his enthusiasm sometimes exceeds his coordination! Boo is a polite student who is already fully house and kennel trained. He knows `sit` and `lay down` on command and we are working on recall but he never fails with a little chicken jerky motivation. While he takes a moment to find his courage with new people, he warms up quickly (especially to women and children) and has a gentle, non-aggressive soul. Heâd love a home where he can be your shadow, watch a movie with you and play a little fetch. Boo loves get along with all dogs but cats are interesting and maybe a little scary for him so he would probably enjoy a cat-free environment where he can be the star of the show.`

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
