Description
Dog Breed: Flat-coated Retriever / Terrier / Mixed. How is this 30+ lb, not-even-4-month-old, big-pawed, goofy-legged cuddle monster still available?! Davie is friendly, easygoing, and playful! His favorite thing is morning walks and playing with and his resident dog sibling and running their hearts out. He goes full zoomie mode… and then crashes into the most dramatic, adorable naps. He genuinely believes every human and every dog was put on this earth to be his best friend. On walks, he’ll try to say hi to everyone. In the home, he’s learning that jumping on guests isn’t the proper greeting, even if he’s very excited to see them, and he’s working on ways to curb his very excited mouthiness. He’s super social with dogs and is learning to respect cues when another dog wants space. There are also two cats in the home, and he’s basically ignored them! Davie is crate trained, settles quickly when overtired, and sleeps through the night, and doing well with potty training. The best things about him? He tries to launch himself into your lap every morning (even though he’s almost too big), he chooses to chill in his crate when tired or overwhelmed, and his oversized paws and gangly legs make for the silliest puppy run you’ve ever seen. He knows sit, touch, and usually comes when called. He’s working hard on impulse control, “leave it,” leash focus, potty consistency, and keeping his puppy teeth to the toys! Davie’s ideal home is active, playful, and ready for a big dog. Maybe another playful pup!
