Description

Dog Breed: Brussels Griffon. adoption fee $900 for pair Meet Betty & Lulu – Two Bonded Brussels Griffon Beauties! Location: Fort Wayne, IN Looking for double the love? Betty and Lulu are two young Brussels Griffon pups who are ready to find their forever home together! These sweet girls weigh about 10 pounds each and share an inseparable bond – they’re true velcro pals who love being close to each other and their humans. About Lulu (17 months old) ✔ Potty trained ✔ Confident and caring big sister About Betty (7 monthsl old) ✔ Still learning her potty manners - getting better each day! ✔ Relies on Lulu for comfort and confidence Both have gentle, loving dispositions and get along well with their foster family’s small dog. Larger dogs can feel overwhelming for them, so a calmer environment is ideal. They didn't pay much attention to the foster family cat but like all pet interactions, it's best to take it slow. After careful observation, we know these two need to be adopted as a pair – Betty especially depends on Lulu for reassurance. If you’re ready to welcome two affectionate companions who will fill your home with joy, Betty and Lulu are waiting for you! New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. If you would like to adopt this very special K-9 kid, please go DIRECTLY to our website to complete our convenient Online Adoption Form. Brussels Griffon

A.K.A.: Griffon Bruxellois, Griffon Belge, Petit Brabançon, Griff, Monkey Face, Dog with a Human Face, Belgian Griffon, Miniature Griffon, Little One, Belgian Toy Dog, Brabançon Griffon, Brussels, Griffon
Overview:

The adorable Brussels Griffon is a charming, small toy breed originating from Belgium, initially bred to hunt vermin in stables. Their distinctive appearance features a compact, sturdy body, a domed head, and large, expressive eyes that give them an almost human-like gaze. They come in two coat types: rough (wiry and dense) and smooth (short and glossy), both requiring regular grooming to maintain. Temperamentally, Griffons are known for being affectionate, intelligent, and highly social, often forming strong bonds with their owners. While generally good with older, considerate children, their small size makes them more suitable for families with respectful kids or individuals. They adapt well to apartment living due to their modest exercise needs and desire to be close to their human companions. Key health considerations for the breed include brachycephalic airway syndrome, patellar luxation, and eye problems. Despite these, with proper care, a Griffon can be a delightful and long-lived companion.
