Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. // Find our applications at .midwestanimalrescue Adoption Fee: $600 plus tax Ashland is a truly sweet, affectionate girl who loves her people and happily snuggles up whenever she can. She’s wonderfully quiet, rarely barks, and shows no possessiveness with food or toys. She’s also very gentle—no puppy nipping or chewing on things she shouldn’t, aside from an occasional blanket edge. Ashland is smart and eager to learn, already picking up cues like come and sit with ease. She has great recall and naturally stays close to her people outside, making her a great candidate for hiking and future off-leash adventures. She’s food motivated, which has helped her make good progress with housetraining, though she’s still learning and may have occasional accidents. She gets along well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with a large dog, though she does enjoy being part of the cuddle pile. Ashland is good with kids, just a bit shy at first. She sleeps through the night in her crate and does well kenneled during the day, settling quickly and comfortably. With her gentle nature, intelligence, and loving personality, Ashland will make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
