She came to rescue as an owner surrender due to a new baby in the home, and through it all, she has remained loving and resilient. Peaches is very people-oriented and naturally attentive. She happily follows her person, responds well to guidance, and behaves beautifully in daily routines. Peaches is currently thriving in her foster home with children and has proven to be wonderful with them. She’s calm, affectionate, and enjoys being part of the family without needing to be the center of attention. She rides beautifully in the car and walks nicely on leash, making her an easy companion for both everyday errands and weekend adventures. Peaches would love a home where she can enjoy a cozy routine, gentle walks, and lots of affection. She has so much love to give and is ready to be a loyal, comforting presence in her forever home. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
