Description
Dog Breed: Beagle / Doberman Pinscher / Mixed (medium coat). Hi, Iâm Butch, Iâm a 4-year-old neutered male beagle mix weighing 43lbs. I was transferred up here from a shelter in Pampa Texas for a better shot at finding my forever family! Iâm the perfect size for every adventure, with a big personality and classic beagle bark. While I do enjoy the occasional zoomie, and get very excited to see my people, if you love on me a little bit my soft and snuggly side comes out quick. Iâm affectionate and tend to nibble on my favorite humans, but I promise Iâm super gentle about it! I also really love to play with toys and play tug with my people too. Please come and meet me, I guarantee youâll fall in love.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Beagleman is a captivating crossbreed, combining the scent-driven enthusiasm of the Beagle with the protective intelligence of the Doberman Pinscher. Originating from designer breed efforts, their appearance can vary, but generally features a medium to large build with a short, dense coat, often displaying colors like black, brown, or merle, sometimes with Doberman-esque markings. Temperament-wise, they are typically alert, intelligent, and loyal, often possessing a strong prey drive and a need for consistent training and socialization from a young age. While their loyalty can make them excellent family companions, their energy levels and potential for Doberman protectiveness mean they thrive in homes with experienced owners and secure yards, making them less suitable for apartment living. Owners should be aware of potential health concerns inherited from both parent breeds, including hip and elbow dysplasia, certain heart conditions, and thyroid issues, necessitating regular veterinary check-ups to ensure a long and healthy life.
