Description
Dog Breed: Boxer (short coat). Meet Honeycomb Left behind when her family moved, Honeycomb could have lost her sweetness—but this girl is pure honey. About 5 years old and fully vetted, she’s learning what it means to be loved and part of a family. She’s great with other dogs, politely ignores the cat in her foster home, and would stick by your side as the perfect cuddle partner. We did find an old leg injury that’s healed—just another chapter in her story that didn’t break her spirit. Located in CT Available for adoption in the Northeast through CH Boxer Rescue .CHBoxerRescue Honeycomb is sweet as can be—now she just needs someone to share the honey with.

Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
