Meet Maisie, a gentle soul with a heart full of hope and love to give. At just one year old and weighing about 43 pounds, Maisie has already shown incredible resilience. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was scared and shy, but with time, kindness, and patience from our volunteers, she’s blossomed into an affectionate, playful companion. Maisie enjoys spending time outdoors with her favorite squeaky toys or playing fetch. She loves the simple joys of being by your side or sharing gentle moments of affection. Though she’s been bravely managing a skin condition- likely due to allergies- her health is steadily improving with ongoing treatment. With continued care in a loving home, Maisie will only get better. Maisie recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. She wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs. See videos below. As always, allowing time alone to decompress from shelter life for a few days before introductions to other dogs is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
