Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Plott Hound / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Molly Molly is a fun-loving, high-energy girl who came to the shelter on 12/22/25 after her previous caregivers, who rescued her from a cruelty case, were no longer able to keep up with her activity level. She’s a playful, social dog who enjoys people, loves to move, and is always ready for her next adventure. Molly does well with other dogs and, in playgroup, shows appropriate social skills. She can feel a little nervous when things get busy, but she’s steerable, respectful, and doesn’t look for trouble. Outside of the kennel, Molly truly shines — she loves running, exploring, and spending time with staff, and she leashes and returns to her kennel easily. The shelter environment has been hard on Molly, and she’s much more relaxed when she’s able to get out, stretch her legs, and engage with her people. She’s currently receiving support for stress and is undergoing treatment for heartworm, so a home environment would make a huge difference in her comfort and overall well-being. Molly would be a great match for an active adopter who enjoys energetic dogs and can offer structure, enrichment, and consistency. With the right home, Molly has the potential to be a happy, playful companion who’s ready to soak up love and enjoy life outside the shelter.
