Dog Breed: Corgi. Igor, aka Iggy, Ziggy, is a Professional Fun Haver! This little guy is approx 8 mos, 20 lbs, and full of personality and sweetness. He can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and will become your bestie in no time. He loves chasing after a ball or frisbee and will do best with someone who enjoys playing with him. He has not been tested with cats or kids but a respectful child 10+ may be considered. He crates like a champ and sleeps through the night. Leash and potty training are work in progress and he requires a secure fenced in yard. Active humans who aren’t gone long hours would be best and he’d love a friendly canine companion. Ziggy would benefit from a basic manners class to bond, learn, and gain confidence. Ziggy is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $475 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
