I’ve done the hard work. I’ve earned the soft life. I’m currently fostered with six other dogs and get along with everyone. I may take a whole second to warm up to new dogs and people — just enough time to assess the vibes — and then we’re good. Truly. One second. I’m friendly, affectionate, playful, and love having dog friends. I also take my role as household security very seriously and will alert you to intruders, delivery drivers, and anything I find suspicious (including leaves), so I probably won’t thrive in an apartment. I’m ready for my forever home where I can be spoiled, adored, and respected as the queen I am… with dog friends welcome, obviously. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
