Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Ariah Ariah is a sweet, beautiful female Cane Corso who came to us straight off the euthanasia list after bravely raising a litter of puppies. She was an amazing mom—loving, attentive, and devoted—and now that all of her puppies have found their forever homes, it’s Ariah’s turn to be someone’s baby. This girl is cute, spunky, and bouncy, with a fun-loving personality that shines through once you meet her. She loves to play, listens well, and enjoys being engaged with her people. Ariah is dog friendly (unknown with small dogs), rides great in the car, and would do well in a home with kids over the age of 5. Ariah is ready to leave her mama days behind and settle into a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and part of a family of her own. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
