Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Buffy is a 6-month-old female Corso puppy with a playful, happy personality. She is very dog friendly, social, and full of fun puppy energy. Buffy is crate trained and house trained, and continued crate use is a must for her success. The shelter previously tacked her cherry eyes, but unfortunately they are returning. We plan to have them properly removed, as we do not like the scar tissue that can be left behind from tacking. Buffy will be taken care of medically so she can move forward comfortably. Like most puppies her age, Buffy loves to chew and is very much in that puppy stage. Structure, supervision, and appropriate chew toys are important. She thrives with routine and guidance. Ideal Home • Must have another dog (required) • Must be committed to crate use and continued training • Experienced and prepared for a growing Corso puppy Buffy is sweet, playful, and full of potential. She’s looking for a home that understands puppies and already has a canine companion to help her continue to grow and learn.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
