Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Campion is a three-year-old pig-dog superstarâa big, snorty, wiggly bundle of joy with the heart (and belly!) of a giant plush potato! When the Eaton Fire swept through, he and his family were uprooted. After months in our care since the fires, Campion is ready for his next chapterâa forever home where he can share his love, snorts, and snuggly personality while starting fresh on new adventures! Heâs looking for a calm, cozy place to show off his goofy, snorty personality, flop over for belly rubs, and wiggle his way into everyoneâs heart! Part piglet, part potato, part oversized cuddle monsterâCampion is pure magic and impossible not to adore! Heâs ready to snuffle, snort, and snuggle his way into a forever home that will love his big, squishy, lovable self every single day! Iâm available for a 10 day adoption trial! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
