Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Roxy, aka Little Girl just turned 5 years old in November. She is 1 out of 6 of my grand puppies. She is very smart. She has access to a doggy door to go in and out as she pleases. She gets along with other dogs and has been living with my 2 other pit bulls, her mother and father. I am looking for a home with at least 1 child who loves animals or an individual who needs a companion because she needs her few minutes of attention a few times a day and snuggle time. She also gets anxiety when going to the vet. I have a big yard so she rarely has the opportunity to take walks with a leash. I have never taken her anywhere other than the vet. Even though she is playful she gets a little jealous around other dogs if she wants attention, but waits her turn. And even though she loves other dogs and children, she would do best in a home that pays her attention. It can be an adult only home or a home with children. **** Breed: Pit bull **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2191914&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
